the AA guns are all nearly useless because im playing an Ostwind and the chance that I 1 shot a plane is at 50%.
Once the Germans get the Kugelblitz and Coelian, aircraft will just start to drop from the sky with a good gunner.)ġ. (as the WWII Chronicles get later into the war or you get to higer tier battles, SPAA becomes FAR more effictive. You just need to hope you have some good SPAA on your team. It was the job of an aircraft to take out tanks and that is what they do. SPAA was not desighned to take out fast, low to ground targets.
The shell exploding was to hope for a bit of fragmentation to take out a crew member and so the shell did not fall back to the ground. A direct hit from the shell is usualy what took out planes. The rest fire 25-40mm shells which would be useless if it detonated.
The only SPAA that could cause some flak would be the ZSU-57-2 as the 57mm shells were a decent size. (i know its hard because it needs to explode at the right range) you have nearly no chance to kill planes that are more than 1 km away.
